The Warlords is an epic movie set during China’s imperial past. Therefore, you can expect many battle scenes, intense fight sequences, grand sweeping shots of the battlefield, and references to China’s grand history. What sets this movie apart from other similar tales such as Hero and Curse of the Golden Flower is the director’s focus on the characterizations of the 3 main characters, the blood brothers.
